AES has begun developing IOT style systems based around smartphone apps as well as Physical control systems using micro-controllers.
The AES Highways app can be branded for each local council and made available to each council’s community. Members of the community can use the app to monitor a wide range of issues related to highways, paths, street furniture as well as littering, fly tipping, and street parking.
A council can then log in to a Web system to see the issues, including a description, picture and map location. The council users can arrange rectification of issues, and the issues (open and closed) are shown on a map both to the council and to the community users.
